Please note - this list "scrolls" each Saturday night and will show events scheduled over the next three months.  If you have an event that is not listed please contact the SO-CS as soon as possible so it can be listed.

18 - 24 MAY - NATIONAL SAFE BOATING WEEK

21 and 23 MAY - TRAINING TUESDAY - AND THURSDAY -  RM/TCT Class with an AUXCA flavor beginning at 1900 both nights.  This class will center around galley operations, not those on a boat.  It will count towards annual RM/TCT requirements, however.  You must preregister for this class by going to this SignUpGenius and entering your request.  A prerequisite for this class is the Introduction to Risk Management online course.

25 MAY - VE Blitz at Oakhurst Park Marina in Wisner Township.  Contact the SO-MT for further information.  Blitz will run from 1000 to 1500. 

27 MAY - Memorial Day and Burton Memorial Day Parade and Public Affairs event.  The DCDR will have additional information as the time approaches. 

31 MAY - Senior Chief Mize advances to Master Chief in a ceremony at 1000 at the Coast Guard Station Saginaw River.  Uniform of the day will be TROPS. 

1 JUN - VE Blitz at Bay City Yacht Club - Exact time and details will be posted as they are made known. Alternate date in the event of a weather washout will be 8 JUN.  

1 JUN - Bethesda Temple (Flint) Safety Day - Contact the VCDR to assist with this community wide PA/PE event at Bethesda Temple, 947 Leland St, Flint, MI 48507.  This is on the weekend prior to the "free fishing weekend".  8 JUN will be the fallback date in the event of a weather washout. Event will run between 0900 and 1500.

1 JUN - COPOCO Credit Union Safety Day, 265 Wilder Rd, Bay City, from 0900 to 1200.  


9 JUN -LAST CHANCE - WORKSHOP WEEKEND 

On line using TEAMS at this login or at the home of the SO-MT, the Division will offer the following workshops - if you need one this will be your last chance before the 30 June deadline.

0800 VE Workshop
0900 Instructor Workshop
1000 Communications Workshop
1100 Operations Workshop
1300 RM/TCT

RM/TCT - please contact the SO-MT (use AUXDIR) via Email to reserve a spot.  For the other workshops, just show up.  Start times may be adjusted during the day so please be patient.   Workshops will be in person at the home of the SO-MT (656 Rosselli Court, Bay City) and online via TEAMS.


10 JUN - BAY CITY FLOTILLA MEETING and BBQ at the home of the Division SO-MT, 656 Rosselli Court in Bay City beginning at around 1900.  This will also be on line on TEAMS at this log in.  Information about what to bring in the way of a shared dish and the exact time will be published later.  Note - those on line will only be able to receive a virtual hamburger which, of course, will be gluten free.


30 JUNE - DEADLINE FOR ALL MANDATORY WORKSHOPS
(Operations, TCO, Culinary Assistance, Instructor, and Vessel Examiner).

8 JUL - Bay City Flotilla Meeting at 1930 at the US Coast Guard Station Saginaw River. 

11 Jul - Change of Command Ceremony at US Coast Guard Station Saginaw River at 1100.  Stay tuned for additional details. Uniform of the Day is Tropical Blue or appropriate civilian attire.

20 JUL - Division 24 Meeting and Picnic at the home of the SO-MT, 656 Rosselli Court, Bay City. Meeting will begin at 1000, BBQ to follow afterwards.

27 JUL - Warrior Appreciation Day at River Place Shops in Downtown Frankenmuth from 1100 to 1600.  POC is the DCDR. 

30 JUL - 3 AUG - Saginaw County State Fair - 11350 Peet Rd, Chesaning, MI 48616 - Further information from DCDR as the date comes closer.   

3 AUG and 4 AUG - WATERFOWL FESTIVAL - Bay City State Park (0900 to 1600 on Saturday, 0900 to 1500 on Sunday).  Support this large Public Affairs Opportunity.  DCDR will be the point of contact.

6 AUG - NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME - Public Affairs booths at both Bay City and Saginaw events will be organized by the SO-PA (DCDR).  Additional information will be posted as it develops.
